Tuesday, April 10, Troop Meeting will be at Faith Lutheran, due to the cold weather. We will reschedule hike at the Seiberling Nature Realm for another night.

OA Elections will be Held at April 10, Troop Meeting. Order of the Arrow members please wear your uniform and OA Sash. The OA is sending an Election Team. Scouts will be nominated by the Scoutmaster based on rank of First Class or higher, meeting the nights of camping requirement and Scout Spirit. Scouts are elected by their peers.

Acme Cashback ended Saturday, April 7. However, we have until April 24 to bring receipts that show the Cashback on the bottom to the Troop Meeting.

Commitments Due by April 24 for Laurel Cavern Campout April 28-29. Cost is $35 per scout and non-leader adult. Scouts who already have Geology MB will explore the primitive portion of the cavern. We will meet at the church at 8 a.m. Saturday morning April 28 and drive to the caverns east of Uniontown, PA. Scouts must eat a good breakfast before arriving at the Church, Saturday, and bring a bag lunch for the trip. Permissions slips are available at the Troop meetings and on the Web site. A Laurel Caverns Lower Caving Release Form is required for Scouts on that program. The release form is available at Troop Meeting or on our Website.

Earn $$$$ for Summer Camp!!!! Lanterns are still available for Scouts who want to earn money to pay for Summer Camp. Troop 390 scouts will have the opportunity to earn money for Summer Camp by selling Lantern Tool Kits at $10 each (a $39.95 value!). First Merit Bank donated the lanterns to the Troop to serve as a fund raiser. All money must be turned in to the Troop and 100 percent will be applied to the $190 early-bird fee, which is due May 15. Scouts can take 6 or 12 lanterns at a time. These lanterns also have a tool kit inside. They would make wonderful gifts. A must have for every car!

Troop Court of Honor will be at the Troop meeting, May 15. Scouts are encouraged to complete their rank advancement and merit badges. Boards of review will be held the May 8.

Fairlawn Women’s Club Rummage Sale Clean up is 12 noon, Saturday, May 5, at Fairlawn Kiwanis/Community Center on Smith Rd. Scouts are encouraged to help clean up. Parents are needed too. This is a Service Project.

Hocking Hills Campout is May 18-20. This is also a Philmont Crew shake down event. Hocking Hills State Park is southeast of Columbus and is a beautiful gorge with waterfalls along the trail. Cost is $15/Scout and non-leader adult. Permission slips will be available on the Troop Web site and at the meetings. More information later.

Troop 390 Scouts and Families participate in the Memorial Day Service, 11 a.m., May 28, at the Fairlawn Kiwanis/Community Center on Smith Rd. Every year we show our thankfulness for Veterans and Police and Fire Personnel in our community. Scouts need to arrive by 10:45 a.m.
