TROOP ELECTIONS, BOARDS OF REVIEW AND PLC ARE SEPTEMBER 18.  Leadership is required for rank advancement.  Commit to run for office on the 11^th.  Boards of Review for Rank Advancement are required before the October 2 Court of Honor.

COURT OF HONOR, is 7:00 p.m. October 2.  Finish up your rank advancement or merit badges and get recognized on the 2nd.  Parents please come and see your son and the other Scouts get their badges. This is a family event. Refreshments follow.

 HOCKING HILLS STATE PARK CAMPOUT, OCTOBER 5-7

Hocking Hills was on the calendar for last Spring, however, we could not get a reservation. Luckily we got a reservation for the first weekend in October. It is one of the most beautiful parks in Ohio. Scouts who need to finish Camping Merit Badge and those who need to work on Tenderfoot, Second Class and First Class requirements are encouraged to attend this campout. Saturday we will hike about 5 miles on the trail and perform a service project for the park. It is about 175 miles each way, so we need to leave at 6:00 Friday evening. Please arrive at Faith Lutheran on time and eat a good dinner before you arrive.

 THINGS TO BRING…  Personal camping gear is required, i.e., a flashlight (Maglite 2-AA recommended), ground pad, sleeping bag, filled water bottle (that doesn’t leak), cup, bowl, spoon, jacket, rain gear, sleeping clothes, towel, toothbrush and toothpaste.  These can be packed in a duffel bag or back pack.  

MEDICATIONS… Any medications to be taken during the Trek should be given to a leader upon arriving at the the church.  Instructions for taking the medication should accompany the medication.  All medications are to be in the original package.

COST $10.00/PERSON … This covers the cost of a bedtime snack Friday night, three meals and a bedtime snack Saturday and breakfast Sunday.

PERMISSIONS SLIPS ARE REQUIRED… Download and complete the permission slip that is attached to this e-mail and bring to the Trailhead Saturday.
