TROOP 390 CAMPORALL
PARTICIPATION CANCELLED. Troop 390 will not
participate in the Great Trail Council Camporall Campout, November 2-4, due
to schedule conflicts for many Scouts and Troop leaders.
The new Troop calendars will be distributed
Tuesday, November 6.
FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH RUMMAGE SALE CLEAN UP, 1:30, SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 3.
All Scouts and their families are asked to help with clean up after Faith
Lutheran Church’s annual Rummage Sale. Please be at the church at 1:30 p.m.
this Saturday, November 3. It only takes an hour or so to take left over
items to the Goodwill and take the clothes racks back to the basement. All
Scouts, parents, cars, vans and trucks are needed. The church depends on the
Troop to help, so please make a commitment to show up. Thank you!
PS: Faith has invited anyone from the
Troop to come to the Early Bird sale Friday evening from 6-8p.m.
TROOP 390 PARENT ORIENTATION & CALENDAR REVIEW
MEETING, NOVEMBER 6. Parents, please attend
our first Parent Orientation & Calendar Review meeting during our next
regularly scheduled Troop meeting on Tuesday, November 6.
It is very important that the parents of
each Scout attend.
Each family in the Troop was sent a special
invitation in the mail, which contains the agenda for this important
meeting. The Troop Committee needs your help to ensure quality programming
for our boys. Parents, please plan to attend. If you have any questions,
please call our Troop Chairman Paul Orchosky at 330-665-2537 during the
evening or 330-612-7513 during the day.
POPCORN PICK UP SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 10.
Please pick up your popcorn orders on Saturday, November
10, between 9 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Pick up is at the Zbasnik house located at
379 Gresham Dr. in Fairlawn (second driveway on the left from Elgin Drive).

SAVE YOUR ACME RECEIPTS FOR TROOP 390 !!
Please save your ACME receipts and bring them to the
Troop meetings. Cashback cash register receipts must be dated between
September 26, 2007 and February 16, 2008. Be sure to mark EACH receipt with
the SCOUT's NAME. The Troop will get 5% of the Cashback amount shown on the
bottom of each receipt. Contributing Scouts will get credit for
participating! Denise Fresh is chairing this project again this year.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP MERIT BADGE WORKSHOP, NOVEMBER 17.
Here is a great opportunity that the Scouts
should not pass up. The Great Trail Council is conducting a workshop for the
Entrepreneurship Merit Badge on Saturday, November 17 at Camp Manatoc’s
Dining Hall from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Scouts will learn the requirements, hear
speakers on the merit badge project and learn how America’s free enterprise
system works. There is no fee for this workshop. Lunch and the merit badge
book will be provided. Scouts wishing to sign up should contact Mr.

DEADLINE TO SIGN UP IS THURSDAY, NOVEMBER
8. Merit Badge requirements will be
available at the Troop meeting, Tuesday.
TROOP 390 WILL PARTICIPATE IN SALUTE TO VETERANS ON
NOVEMBER 11. The annual Old Portage Salute to
Veterans is from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m., Sunday November 11, at Copley VFW Post.
Scouts, parents siblings and friends are all invited. Scouts should come in
uniform and be there at 2:30 to line up with your unit before the salute
starts. This counts as a civic service participation toward rank
advancement.
