


Hello to all Scouts and Parents of Troop 390:
Important dates regarding the upcoming Spaghetti Dinner:
The dinner is Saturday, March 1st this year.
There will be a preparation meeting on Tuesday, January
22 for the parents, to be held during the Scout meeting.
At this time, we will discuss any suggestions, ideas, or
improvements from last year's dinner. In addition, there
will be sign-up sheets for the following committees.
Food Donations - Dan &
Alice Ohlin will again head up this committee, but if you or anyone you know
can help them out
with any donations, please let them know.
Bake Sale - We need a
volunteer to head this up - all families are asked to contribute a baked
good, but volunteers are needed
for set-up, pricing and manning the tables during dinner.
Cook Volunteers - We can
start cooking about noon on Saturday
Parents of Scouts Raffle
- We need a volunteer to also head up this committee. Local business are
solicited for donations to be
raffled off during the dinner. Also we need volunteers to
man the booth during the dinner - 2 shifts
Does anyone know of anyone who could make a donation for
the raffle?
Recruting Table - we
were thinking of setting up a table - having a slide show, pictures, etc.
Thoughts, ideas and volunteers welcome.
Flowers - contact local
businesses for flowers for table centerpieces
Public Relations- flyers
and posters need to be distributed, local newspapers, churches and
retirement homes need to be contacted.
Any other suggestions?
Decorations - Starting
at about 2:00 on that Saturday, the Scouts will begin decorating - lights,
crete paper etc.
Dinner - we will have
two shifts for the Scouts to work - 4:00-6:00 & 6:00-8:00. The first shift
will help set up and the second shift will
help with clean-up. Parents should work the same shift as
their Scout. Sign-up sheets will be available.
Clean-up - After the
dinner, we need help taking down decorations, putting away chairs and
tables, vacuuming, etc.
This is a very important fund raiser for the Troop, but
it's also a fun time! Please make the time to help support our boys.
If any questions, please feel free to contact us. If
unable to make the meeting, but would like to volunteer, please let us know.

Hello Scouts and Parents,
Just a few updates regarding the Spaghetti Dinner:
1. First of all, thank you to everyone that attended the
meeting and sent e-mails offering your help as needed. It's greatly
appreciated.
2. Posters were available at the court of Honor Sunday.
If additional copies are needed, please let us know.
3. Donations are needed for the Parents of Scouts raffle.
If you know of anyone that could donate a gift certificate or service,
please obtain and
we can follow-up with a thank you letter for tax
purposes.
4. Pre-sale tickets will be distributed to all Scouts at
the Feb 12th meeting. Ask your teachers, neighbors, friends - what a deal $6
for adults,
$4 for children and an opportunity to be served a great
spaghetti dinner by you - the Scout. Please turn your monies and/or unsold
tickets to Kathy Herbert
at the Scout meetings on the 19th and 26th.
5. Shift sign-ups will be available for the Scouts also
on the 19th and 26th. A reminder e-mail will be sent advising everyone of
the time you
volunteered to work.
