Jim Horvath Scoutmaster (jhorvath99@aol.com)
Troop 390 had been dormant for several years before Mr. Horvath brought it back to life in 1992. He has served as Scoutmaster ever since. In addition to his duties
with the Troop, Mr. Horvath also serves as the Chairman of the Old Portage
District of the Great Trail Council. Throughout his distinguished
Scouting career, he has held a number of positions on the District Level,
including Vice Chairman for Program and District Commissioner. Three times he has served on Junior
Leadership Training Staff. A member of
Wood Badge Class C-25W-93, Mr. Horvath has served on eight Wood Badge staffs and
is the Course Director for the next Wood Badge program to be offered through
the Great Trail Council. Twice he has served as Scoutmaster for the Great Trail Council's contingent to the National Jamboree and once as Scoutmaster for the Council's contingent to Philmont. Mr. Horvath is the
recipient of the District Award of Merit and the Silver Beaver Award. His son, Ryan, earned his Eagle Badge with
the Troop in 1998.

Paul Orchosky Chairman
A member of Troop 390
since 2004, Mr. Orchosky first served as an Assistant Scoutmaster before taking
his current position as Chairman, which he has held since 2006. Prior to his involvement with the Troop, Mr.
Orchosky served as a Committee Member with Cub Scout Pack 3300 at Fort Island School in Fairlawn. He is the father of two 390 scouts, one of
whom, Brian, is an Eagle Scout. He is a member of Wood Badge Class C-32-05. |

Steve Brustoski Assistant Scoutmaster
Mr. Brustoski has
served as an Assistant Scoutmaster since joining Troop 390 in 1998. In addition to his duties with the Troop, he
has also volunteered his time on the District Level. An avid hiker, he is currently in the process
of hiking the highest point in each State.
Mr. Brustoski is a certified trainer in Leave No Trace and is also Wood
Badge trained. |

John Fields Assistant Scoutmaster
Mr. Fields joined
Troop 390 as an Assistant Scoutmaster in 2008.
Prior to joining the Troop, he served as the Charter Organization
Representative for Troop 210 in Kenmore. A scout leader since 1999, Mr. Fields served
as Cubmaster in Pack 3210, also in Kenmore,
where he also held the positions of Assistant Cubmaster and Den Leader. In
addition to his position with Troop 390, Mr. Fields also serves as a Unit
Commissioner with the Old Portage District. |

Don Ostapowicz Assistant Scoutmaster

Joining the Troop in
2004, Mr. Ostapowicz serves as Assistant Scoutmaster. He is the father of three Troop 390
scouts. While a member of the Troop 390
staff he also served in a number of capacities for Cub Scout Pack 3390 over the
course of 10 years, serving as Cubmaster, Asst. Cubmaster, Den Leader and
Committee member. Mr. Ostapowicz has
also been active on the District level, coordinating activities and training
new scout leaders. He is a recipient of
the Old Portage District Award of Merit and is a member of Wood Badge class
C-17-02. |

Andre` Portteus Assistant Scoutmaster
The father of two
Eagle Scouts, Kevin and Tom, Mr. Portteus joined Troop 390 in 1998 and has
since served as an Assistant Scoutmaster.
Mr. Portteus is a bicycle enthusiast, an active hiker and outdoorsman. He also served as an adult leader in Troop 18
in Akron before
joining Troop 390. |
