SPAGHETTI DINNER

Important Dates and Details

Mark your calendars for Saturday, March ___, 4:30pm - 7:30pm

Posters are available for you to take or you can download and print your own copies.

Pre-sale tickets will be distributed to all Scouts at the _____meeting. Ask your teachers, neighbors, friends - only $6 for adults, $4 for children plus the opportunity to be served a great spaghetti dinner by you - the Scout. Please bring money and/or unsold tickets to troop meetings on ______ and ______.

Shift sign-ups will be available for the Scouts during meetings prior to the dinner. There are two shifts for the Scouts to work - 4:00-6:00 & 6:00-8:00. The first shift will help set-up and the second shift will help with clean-up. Parents should work the same shift as their Scout. Sign-up sheets will be available. A reminder e-mail will be sent advising everyone of the time they volunteered to work.

Cooking begins at 12:00 noon on Saturday.

Decorating (lights, crepe paper etc.) will begin at 2:00. The Scouts will turn Fellowship Hall into a fine Italian Restaurant.

Clean-up begins immediately after the dinner, we need help taking down decorations, putting away chairs and tables, vacuuming, etc.

Chairpersons Needed

There will be a planning meeting during the ______ Scout meeting. At this time, we will discuss any suggestions, ideas, or improvements from last year's dinner. In addition, there will be sign-up sheets for the following positions.

  • Food Donations - Pasta, sauce, bread, butter, salad, etc. is needed.  Grocery store gift cards are prefered.

  • Bake Sale - All families are asked to contribute baked goods.  Volunteers are also needed for set-up, pricing ,and manning the tables during dinner.

  • Parents of Scouts Raffle - Solicite local businesses for donations to be raffled off during the dinner. Also we need volunteers to man the booth during the dinner - two shifts. Does anyone know of anyone who could make a donation for the raffle?

  • Recruting Table - We were thinking of setting up a table - having a slide show, pictures, etc. Thoughts, ideas, and volunteers welcome.

  • Flowers - Contact local businesses for flowers for table centerpieces.

  • Public Relations- Flyers and posters need to be distributed, local newspapers, churches and retirement homes need to be contacted.
     

This is a very important fundraiser for the Troop, but it's also a fun time! Please help support our boys.
